Cobalt Foam Mug — Misfit

A wheel-thrown mug in two halves — a deep pink base speckled with gold, and a cobalt blue top that breaks into pale sky blue and runs down over the red in thick foaming drips. The handle carries both colors, blue at the top fading to red at the base.

Roughly 3.75 inches tall, holds about 9 oz.

Why this one is a Misfit

The handle has a visible crack. It's stable and it isn't going to come away, but you can see it.

The handle was also a new pulling technique I was trying out and didn't end up liking — it came out much thinner and skinnier than I normally make them. It works, it's just not the handle I'd have chosen.
